Not far from the Mercer Rowing Club, in the northern Waikato region lies our Pukekawa farm. This a relatively new production area based on granular, nutrient rich soil, making for fresh soil, strong plant growth and even fresher vegetables. Our Red onions do particularly well here, as naturally high levels in potassium and sulphur encourage the deep red colour we love so much about this variety. The climate is also conducive to great potatoes and cabbages over summer, two must-have salad ingredients to accompany any Kiwi BBQ!
