This farm benefits from volcanic ash from neigbouring Mt Ruapehu’s past eruptions. The allophanic soil is rich in nutrients and perfect for strong growth. Our crops thrive in the cool at an altitude of 800m, which also offers excellent drainage. These cool temperatures bring out the natural sugars of carrots giving them a sweet, crisp taste and vibrant colour. We grow most of our carrots here, along with potatoes destined for consumers’ pantries.
